Mdina & Rabat

Mdina and Rabat are two historic towns located in the central part of Malta, offering a glimpse into the island’s cultural and architectural heritage.

Mdina, Malta’s former capital, is known for its narrow streets, historic buildings, and elevated position, providing panoramic views across the island. The city is characterised by a blend of medieval and baroque architecture, with landmarks such as St Paul’s Cathedral at its centre.

Rabat, situated just outside Mdina, is rich in historical sites including catacombs, churches, and traditional streets, reflecting Malta’s past and local character.

The surrounding area also includes natural attractions such as Dingli Cliffs, offering coastal views from one of the highest points in Malta, and Buskett Gardens, a green area located near Verdala Palace.
